The NSM Jukebox
NSM started manufacturing jukeboxes later than the American manufacturers, but quickly dominated the jukebox industry.
By the late 1960s NSM had a world beating design with the carriage running on parallel tracks to select the records and smoothly designed cabinets. The NSM CD mechanism again revolutionised the market, where other manufacturers had just modified the gripper arms to take the smaller diameter CD, NSM produced a lift and stacking mechanism that reduced the storage space to the point that by the late 1990s they stopped manufacturing free standing jukeboxes, as their whole jukebox, complete with 100 CDs, was now small enough to mount on a wall.
